Ninjas die. A lot.
By Kayin (1 review) from Aberdeen , 13 Feb 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
The title pretty much says it all. Ninja escapes clan, clan hunts ninja and ninja resists in bloody fashion. The screenplay's a little on the dark side, and the 'tender' moments involving talking to hearts - yes, literally engaging in one sided conversations with other people's chests - is definitely out of place. The story's fairly standard, and you could drive a tractor through the plot holes. All said though, it's the kind of film I'll watch repeatedly simply because it caresses that node in my brain which wants to see lots and lots of ninja scum chopped up into bloody chunks of confetti by another, manlier ninja who gets to scowl a bit more than usual. The fights are nicely done, punctuated by plenty of arterial spray and... well, that's what you watch this movie for. Incidentally, this ISN'T based on a game despite the assertions of another review on this site. There have been comparisons to Ninja Gaiden 2 given the amount of severed limbs ricocheting around any given scene, but that's as far as the connection goes. Please try and remain accurate.- Was this review helpful to you?

(113)Efficient, Bloody, Martial Arts Actioner
By tf510 (32 reviews) , 22 Dec 2012Well-made actioner which combines martial arts with a dash of political intrigue and revenge. There are several fairly impressive one-to-one and large-group fight sequences and a lot of gun-play too. Not the best example of its type but it certainly looks good.- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't miss it
By R80 (4 reviews) , 09 Dec 2012Very good movie, I enjoyed it and it was different, you should watch it, it's for those loves blood and actions, not suitable for young kids or those scared of blood, due to heavy workload it took nearly 3 days to watch but it was worth it- Was this review helpful to you?

Great martial arts action film!
By a customer , 03 Dec 2012I really enjoyed this film. Big budget action martial arts film! My gf watched this with me (she doesn't like martial arts films) but she also enjoyed this. Loads and loads of blood from super cool weapons work.- Was this review helpful to you?

king of the ninja's
By Magictouch (6 reviews) , 03 Dec 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
Good action film predictable in a way but very watchable. Some of the acting was a bit plastic but was outweighed by the good acting and the good guy kicking butt.- Was this review helpful to you?
