....and acting at its worst. Popcorn flick extravigansa that really could have been made in the 80's. There's something very Kung Pow about this film is it supposed to be a comedy or not? Ah it's not ok. The action sequences are really good but why do they slow the action down at critical points? I know they had to slow the film down for Bruce Lee but that was because he was too fast for the cameras at the time. Now with the 1080 digital, high def' set ups available all it does is highlight how far away the punches and kicks are from the actual target. The cast is a who's who of other films and the main character Casey had a grass routs inferiority complex due to being the only white student in a Japanese Dojo. Sound familiar? Casey gets bullied, bully gets kicked out and becomes the world most notorious assassin. Only then to walk the path of vengence toward Casey who he blames for his excludion. A traditional story with a modern twist and production. This film is just too close to being brilliant that it looks daft trying to take itself too seriously. See it for what it is and you will be entertained. Dissect it and you'll be bored within minutes. One for the lads night in this one. Hope you enjoy it. Rob

Do not expect good acting or spectacular special effects from this movie but it definitely does what it is supposed to do remarkably well: entertain you and make you forget about your worries and problems for a while.

DO NOT WATCH. Shockingly bad waste of time. Trying to be american ninja and falling badly. The acting and storyline are terrible. Inconsistant, random american style rubbish.

  • Don't waste your time on this one...

What a wast of 1 1/2 hrs of my life.... I am a pretty hardcore martial arts fan, and generally you can forgive a bit of bad acting so long as either the action or the story are good. In this case the story is predictable, the script is beyond dire, and the acting is atrocious. There are arguably one or two half decent fight scenes, but there is no consistency to the main character's fighting ability. If you want cheesy american martial arts, go old-school and rent American Ninja!
