If there could be one reason to watch this movie, this would be the magical performance of Amitabh. He has reached the level of performance where he can just deliver magic just by lifting an eye lid. The movie is very stylish, well made, excellent background music and brilliant acting by Amitaab....but the story is so un-indian and as the idea is a Lolita type story, there's little in the way of Bollywoodisation of the movie. However the movie wins from the Amitabh's performance which is pure excellence and adds the real magic to the story. The female character is rather over the top overacting type but perhaps this was the need of the story. An excellent portrayal of an unlikely attraction between two persons of huge age difference, one looking back to the youth in life and the other a precocious mild mannered teen who has a hang for older men. I wouldn't be wrong if I would say that the director made this movie just to cast Amitab as lead character and justify his old age, but the result is a subtle story of emotions and vulnerabilities of life...an enjoyable watch, a pristine performance by big B after Black. Those expecting a typical Bollywood offering should stay away....
I really liked the movie. Big B was great as usual. Even Jia was very good compared to her first movie and that too against such a superstar. I think this things do happen in real life but we try to suppress our feelings and just carry on with the married life because of fear of society. The movie could have been made better. 'Jogger's Park' was something in this line and was a good movie as well.
