What do we have on the menu here ? A good scoop of the notorious rivalry between chefs, a large helping of romance, add a cool young kid for good measure, and mix it all up. Though it might not be the most stunningly original story to hit the big screen, it should definately make it onto your main order. This an excellent feel good, mostly fluffy, film about breaking down barriers. Young 11 year old Abigail Breslin is brilliant as Zoe, and the whole thing just works for me.

So can you after all share a kitchen, and share a life, watch it and find out. A definate recommended watch.

Enjoyed it as it had some good scenes in but was quite boring in a lot of places and wouldn't really call it much of a romantic comedy

Was an okay film a successful chef, who is then left to look after her sister's daughter. At the same time another chef enters the scene and stealing the thunder. Was funny at times but also very sad in the parts of the movie.

A feel good movie with a hint of sadness. Definitely a good girly night in with wine and chocolates and maybe a few tissues....??

  • Dreadful predictability - awful!

Lack lustre performances: Zeta-Jones looked bored, her performance wooden. Likewise with Eckhart. The only saving grace was the young actress who did her best to lift the film which was slow and utterly predictable.

I do usually like this genre, easy to watch, not much thinking to do, wind down from a busy week, but at one point I debated whether to persevere to the end or just switch it off. I was not rewarded for my perseverance.
