Tim Robbins seems to pick quirky stories and this certainly is one. It's easy to understand why he finds noise annoying but quite frankly it got a bit obsessive and unbelievable. We made it to the end of the film but didn't really see the point of it.

This was ok, i'm glad I watched it although it's not something I would recommened nor would I watch again, it' switch's timeline a fairbit which is hard to keep up with, My hubby who I watched this with has a lot more patients for films than I do usually but he hated this...

  • One man's tongue-in-cheek crusade against annoying car alarms

Sheer genius. One man's crusade against annoying car alarms. It's very tongue in cheek, and Robbins plays it beautifully, to great comedic effect, but meanwhile the film also poses some interesting questions about the system, the things we put up with and whether fighting back can work.

Cringeing isn't a bad thing, at least it's some kind of response, but when a film makes you cringe you kind of need to know that it's intended and the filmmakers are cringeing with you.

In this case they are clearly not, they appear to be of the belief that the petty, self-important, and self-righteous central character is indeed a hero of modern times and expect us to come along and pat him on the back with them.

Unfortunately not, hence the cringeing, still it's a mildly interesting premise, had it been dealt with in a more self-depracating manner it could have been good, instead, it is 'just ok'.

For goodness sake get a clue. There are many clues, you know, such as the bit about people being sheep? If you're still so thick, google the judge's name. I could've done without the threesome, but really, this is a very good film. You won't understand it until you step out of being that which it's about. Plus Tim Robbins is one of the most underrated actors ever, and gorgeous.

  • Robbins the vigilante.

This is a very silly film and a copycat version of much better films of this kind. Tim Robbins wanders through the film apparently half asleep -which, admittedly, he would be, had he actually not slept in months; but it makes for very boring viewing.William Hurt wears a horrible ginger wig for the role of mayor of the city. If he has to wear a wig these days, why does it have to be some unrealistic shade of ginger? I digress; if you miss this film, you will be very sensible, or very lucky, but if you see it, you will certainly not remember it.
