Very disappointing
This is a 5 star opera with some of the most wonderful and stunning music in it. But in this performance I rarely had a glimpse of it. The orchestra and singing were very ponderous. At the start I realised that it wasn't a top class performance but was quite enjoying it. But by the second disc I was getting increasingly frustrated. The production and acting too were pretty wooden. If this is your first experience of Norma please don't judge the opera on this performance.
