Forgrt the cheesy love story and bad acting. This film is all about the waves, the surfers and the soul of surfing. The high points are definitely the cameo roles from a young and mouthy Occy and an arrogant Laird Hamilton playing the bad guy. John Philbin (later seen in Point Break) is also an unlikely highlight. You know you just want to get on a plane to Hawaii after watching this one!
