A top class Hitchcock masterpiece of the highest calibre.

Alfred Hitchcock and Cary Grant making one of cinema's Top 100 Films of all time.
A top-notch thriller with all the suspense and fascinating storyline associated with Hitchcock. I have a feeling that any of the major filmstars could have played the Cary Grant role and it would not have detracted from the film.
The plot starts off with action, mystery and suspense.....and then grows scene by scene right up to the most thrilling climax.
It's hard to find any faults. It's the best colour, best photography, best editing, best supporting actors,best storyline, best screenplay.
I suppose the female lead might be the weak link, but it seems churlish to try and find fault, especially as Eve Marie Saint does not seem to put a foot wrong.
It's a film for all the family to enjoy and bite their nails and wonder why ' they don't make em like this anymore'.

Grant at Grant's Best

If re-made today the Director would smooth out some of the ways in which this mystery is stitched together. Crosses the generations
