Action-filled film showing Betty Mahmoody's dreadful struggle to escape from Iran - with her daughter. From being what seemed a fairly meek and mild American wife and mother she showed real strength and determination to get out of Iran. Can't help wondering about her husband's change of character once in his home country, surely there must have been some signs while still in USA. A warning to those who marry someone from another country - how well do you really know that person? I would be interested to know whether her husband tried anything to get her or his daughter back once they were on American soil again. Did he try to return to USA? Did they get divorced or is she still technically married to him? An absorbing and interesting film.
