A team of magicians ? including Jesse Eisenberg and Isla Fisher ? rob a bank as part of their act. It?s such a good idea that this less than perfect caper remains very watchable despite its shortcomings

Great Trailer, but...By a customer , 09 Jun 2013
[Highly rated reviewer]I saw the trailer for this and it looked amazing, plus what a great cast, so I went to see it with high expectations. It's not quite as good as the trailer makes it look, in fact the plot is a bit thin and there's a few bits and pieces left unexplained at the end.. It's hard to say what it lacks, the characters, especially those of the four magicians, aren't really developed that well. It's all very shiny with clever effects, and it's not a bad way to spend a couple of hours, but if you see the trailer and think it's going to be amazing you might well be a bit disappointed.

Not very magicalBy brockfal (57 reviews) from London , 21 Dec 2013Slick, mildly entertaining but unlikely romp, and very, very silly. It's a pity that so much talent and a lot of money was wasted on an interesting idea which ends up a pretty insubstantial experience. U
Not the best !By a customer , 20 Dec 2013I had high expectations ...... But to be honest did not enjoy this film. We watched about an hour and fifteen min .... Then gave up, I can't remember the last time I didn't watch a film to the end! Not the film for me.
definately worth a watchBy a customer , 18 Dec 2013Very entertaining to the very end, good mix of film and magic, keeps you guessing. Generally i don't write reviews unless its really good or really bad.
Fast-paced and entertainingBy NickBurton (18 reviews) , 18 Dec 2013Completely far-fetched but very watchable heist thriller involving four megastar magicians. Some of the 'tricks' are breathtaking, but of course on film you're not sure if you're watching proper magic or clever editing. The opening card-trick worked for me - uncannily. There is a twist ending which isn't really credible, but never mind, the whole thing rattles along at a great pace, Melanie Laurent is lovely and Morgan Freeman, as ever, lends a touch of class.
Very entertainingBy a customer , 18 Dec 2013A very cleverly written plot that was translated into a very engaging movie with good visual effects. Definitely well worth watching.
