In some way or another, we all know about John Lennon, but this biopic of his early years growing up in 50s Liverpool may prove especially revealing.

think you know everything about the Beatles..well watch this!
By arrancat (10 reviews) from Coventry , 15 Dec 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
I was lucky enough to go to the Preview at BAFTA a while ago, and also got to be an extra in the film. I figured I knew all about the Beatles, but this is the kind of film you can watch as an avid Beatles fan, or as a story in its own right. The acting is fantastic and very believable. You easily find yourself caught up in the characters different perspectives and emotions, and the film is great at making you see things from each person's perspective. Its also a great insight into an era. Brilliantly filmed, great storytelling, and fantastic cast. great film, one which makes you proud to be British.- Was this review helpful to you?
