Deliciously dark, nurse jackie sees the return of the wondeful edie falco to the small screen. This is a hospital drama with a complex character at its heart. Jackie has secrets. Her work and home life are compartmentalised to the point of crazy... we're not sure why though and so we're intrigued.. O what a tangled web she weaves but why does she practice to deceive? A fine cast of supporting actors make each half hour episode whizz by.- Was this review helpful to you?

Pretty Good, enjoyable.
By a customer , 04 Jan 2012I loved this. Nurse Jackie is the ultimate anti-hero working in a hospital under huge pressure. It is funny, clever and the characters seem real.
I wish the series was a little longer. I would really recommend this to anyone who likes a feel-good TV show to watch.- Was this review helpful to you?

By gailen (5 reviews) from Newcastle upon Tyne , 14 Jul 2011Edie Falco is an amazing actress , I thought it would be hard to shake off seeing her as Carmela ( from The Sopranos) but no she plays this part brilliantly. This series is different from other hospital dramas as it doesn't focus mainly on the procedures of A and E but delves more into the characters . Nurse Jackie is an addict but she's also an amazing nurse and mother, Doctor Cooper is a prat but he's also a good doctor, Jackie is having an affair and manages to live this double life without the need for a moral justice line. Its good to see a woman in this role plus it's well written and funny. Excellent series - can't wait for more.- Was this review helpful to you?
