I went to the cinema to see this and what a bad film it is. Meant to be a comedy but can't remember laughing once or anyone in the cinema either. Give it a miss.- Was this review helpful to you?

(142)This film :/ my face :(
By a customer , 24 Sep 2012I am a big Seth Rogen fan, I did not know what to expect after reading some reviews. I watched it, I was disappointed. Yes its watch-able but in no way funny, I could count the times I even broke a smile during the whole film with one finger. It is definitely a strange one.- Was this review helpful to you?

Just bizarre
By a customer , 20 Sep 2012Strangest film ever - America at its best! Not really worth watching as the story line is limited and acting amateur.- Was this review helpful to you?

Give this film a chance!
By a customer , 14 Sep 2012I don't know why so many people are down on this film - isn't the humour meant to be dark and teetering at the edge of bad taste? Anyway I laughed a lot and I really liked it and I also thought Seth Rogen did a great job. Give it a try if you haven't seen it - if you don't like it fair enough - but there are people out there who will will enjoy it and be glad they gave it a chance.- Was this review helpful to you?

Better than expected - daft but good fun.
By orangeboy (56 reviews) from Cardiff , 09 Sep 2012Only rented this as Seth Rogen was in it but didn't have high hopes for it.
Turned out to be a silly but fun comedy which had some genuinely laugh out loud moments. Not hugely cerebral and somewhat predictable but no less enjoyable for it.
A movie to watch with your mates - I doubt you will be short-changed.- Was this review helpful to you?

Take a chance and try it

Judging by the other reviews this films isn't for everybody but if you can tolerate your comedy pitch black and relish something alternative and even uncomfortable at times, you'll be rewarded. It has some superb scenes, some genuinely surprising action segments and some great performances (particularly Seth Rogen breaking from his affable good guy mould, Ray Liotta as the slimy undermining detective, and Anna Faris as a dull-witted wench). If you like it, I'd recommend 'Super' as another attack to your expectations and conversely if you hate it, I'd steer well clear of that too.
N. B. It is not to be confused with 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop', a lazy slapstick that demands nothing from the audience except low expectations.- Was this review helpful to you?
