(679)Glad I ignored the bad reviews.
By fcmuk (6 reviews) , 24 Mar 2013I came late to the party that was the Ocean's trilogy. Having seen eleven on TV I decided to rent the next two in order. If I had believed the majority of comments, I would have skipped twelve altogether. I'm glad I didn't.
For a film with so many big names, it would always be hard to get a plot to shine out from the divas (male and female) showboating. The only star in this that seems to be acting like a spoiled brat is Brad. The rest play their roles very well; becoming their character rather than sticking out like a sore thumb. The two British comedians (Robbie Coltrane and Eddie Izzard) continue to shine now they have both been in several films.
While the story might seem contrived. I imagine that a criminal who has been robbed of a vast sum of money, would look to get it back. What use would immediately killing them serve? Even if he had claimed on insurance.
As a big fan of the TV series Hustle, which only began in the shadow of 'Eleven' and continued after 'Twelve' I can see where the TV makers got their inspiration and even musical style. If I were to sum up for those who have watched the TV series; Ocean's Twelve is equivalent to a two part episode of Hustle, quite a bit of padding, slightly incredulous, very tenuous but overall, an enjoyable two hour romp with lots of eye candy for both sexes.- Was this review helpful to you?

another good ocean
By spudsonthesofa (8 reviews) , 18 Feb 2012I think this film had a lot to live up when it proceeded Oceans Eleven, I don't think it quite had the cleverness of the first film so I was not as impressed although thats not to say it isnt a good film because it is. Well worth a watch, has the same humour as the first one and Danny Ocean has that fantastic slickness that he portrays like in eleven.- Was this review helpful to you?
