They should have left it alone

I went to see this film expecting an enjoyable follow up to Ocean's 11, in the same style with the same slickness. However I was disappointed, Ocean's 12 is just too different from O's 11 for me. The time-jumping wasn't that confusing for me, I just managed to keep up, but my poor boyfriend was completely lost! I didn't like the abundance of long hand-held sequences, I thought this gave the film too amatuer a feel, not the effect I suspect the director was going for. And the whole Julia Roberts thing - beyond ridiculous!!! That really ruined the film for me. All in all this just wasn't as well done as Ocean's 11, and I think it would have been better to just leave it at the first film rather than degrade it with a sequel like this.
