Most helpful review
really fun and far fetched!
By a customer from NEWCASTLE - MY NAME IS NOT BOND, JAMES BOND , 22 Jun 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
This film has it all: fun, farfetched, a few camp jokes but
some great moments of suspense too.
the bond movie is based on Ian Fleming's Property Of A Lady' which like it's predecessor are short stories and are connected so putting the two together and adding a bit more is great. there is a great moment where Roger Moore's 007 dresses up as a clown! oh, Bond has to recover a faberghe egg when 009 is killed. cool, thrilling and fun! entertainment bond and Maud Adam's second turn at a Bond film has her in the title role.- Was this review helpful to you?

By Bobsview (549 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 15 Feb 20131983 James Bond drama. The 13th Bond film and the sixth of the Roger Moore series. I have never been a fan of the Bond films where Bond is played by Roger Moore. I could never take him seriously as a hard , cruel and dangerous agent. This film is tediously long and full of slap stick; Bond is chased by flying Tuc Tucs, by baddies on elephants, clowns with balloons tied to them. There is no big set. I can only assume they thought they were making a comedy but the film is just an embarrassing pantomime and boring. If you like Bond films then do not watch this one because it is sacrilege of the genre- Was this review helpful to you?

By cheesekake (1278 reviews) from uk , 05 Jun 2012gotta love bond, he's smooth as melted chocolate, as is handy with the girls as he with the wit and weapons.
all the bond films have great stories and are brilliantly entertaining.- Was this review helpful to you?

Roger Moore should have gone before this
By Bassman71 (617 reviews) from Didsbury, England , 14 Jun 2011009 gets killed in service carrying Faberge egg, dodgy prince buys it in auction, 007 goes to India to follow Prince, Prince doing deals with dodgy USSR General, 'Octop*ssy'.
Tired and probably one of the least entertaining Bond films in the series in that Roger Moore was getting too old (although he is quite funny) & they were running out of new ideas.
World War III paranoia is the one of the themes here headed by a spectacularly over-the-top Steven Berkoff who comes across like some Ade Edmondson comedy character.
Louis Jourdan & Kabir Bedi do quite well as villains and some of the stunts are pretty good but its just a bit daft and dull overall.
Maud Adams was great in the Man with the Golden Gun but doesnt do much in this apart from wear a garish dressing gown and say Oh James a lot.
Music is average too with a forgettable opening song from Rita Coolidge.- Was this review helpful to you?
