Adapted from the Ian Fleming stories Octopussy and The Property of a Lady, this was the 13th Bond movie and is possibly the most frivolous (and certainly the most careless). The plot meanders more than the Ganges, as Roger Moore follows Maud Adams and renegade Soviet general Steven Berkoff across India and Central Europe. All the usual paraphernalia are on view (although the gadgets aren't quite up to Q's usual standard), but director John Glen (who'd been editor and second unit director on several earlier entries) never quite seems in control of either the breathless action or the overly glib dialogue.

    really fun and far fetched!

This film has it all: fun, farfetched, a few camp jokes but

some great moments of suspense too.

the bond movie is based on Ian Fleming's Property Of A Lady' which like it's predecessor are short stories and are connected so putting the two together and adding a bit more is great. there is a great moment where Roger Moore's 007 dresses up as a clown! oh, Bond has to recover a faberghe egg when 009 is killed. cool, thrilling and fun! entertainment bond and Maud Adam's second turn at a Bond film has her in the title role.

Not the Best but pretty good all rounder!

Travelling to India would be fun, if it wasnt for the danger and girls bond meets this time.

Maud Adams better here than 'Tatoo' and a very scary octopus this still is an all time high as always!

    James Bond is ROGER MOORE

In the instalmet of James Bond an Egg found near to a murdered British agent. This puts Bond on the trail that leads to a plot to kill thousands to weaken defences in Europe.

    RE: What can I say......

What can i say that you wont have figured out.......it's James Bond. The usual effert from Roger Moore, the usual gadgets and stunts, the usual bevie of girls. It's Bond.....

Just not one of the better ones, was a little flat......and in some places a little more unbeleivable, (e.g. the 'car' chase in India), but you'd still want it in your collection.

    A usual Bond film....

I will keep this short, otherwise i will start ranting about Bond films in generalities.

If you like Bond films, you'll like them, if you don't, you won't.

    Hardly an all time high

One of Roger Moore's more uneven entries as James Bond. It boasts some of the best action sequences of the series - especially its hair-raising airplane climax - coupled to a labyrinthine plot but its failings far outweigh the good stuff. Moore is too portly as 007, Adams barely registers as the title character, and Jourdan makes a fey villain. But for every well-staged moment, there's a cringeworthy pun and bad acting, the supposedly comedic rickshaw chase in India being a particular offender.
