Disney gives Oliver a new Twist with a Dickens of an animation job. A cute orphan kittycat is drafted into a doggy pack of streetwise New York pickpockets whose human master, Fagin, is up to his ears in debt to Sykes, the city's sinister kingpin of crime. Bette Midler, Billy Joel, Richard Cheech Marin, Dom DeLuise and Robert Loggia provide the voices for a nicely told tale that, though a little lacking in Disney's customary charm, still provides fine family entertainment. Don't know what Dickens would have made of it, though.
"...Visuals and sound combine to vividly capture the Big Apple crunch from a feline's-eye view..."

My three and a half year old liked this cos of the cute talking animals but was a little unnerved by the 'nasty' character in it!
