A feelgood type of movie, it manages to be funny and sad at the same time. Saw it at the Cinema last week and had quite a few out-loud laughs, as did various other watchers. Being from about 12 miles away from Glasgow, some of the settings for the film were familiar to us.
A simple tale with a feelgood thread all the way through it. Ok some of the 'lesser characters' are a bit sketchy...bits of the story line predictable but it is a story worth telling....Peter Mullins is great..even my hard-to-please-husband watched it.
Good stories never age...they just change a wee bit.
