  • Disappointing compared to book

    [Highly rated reviewer]

Lots of missing 'scenes' which make the book that much better. Also changes to some (like the taking of the bible) which I found far less convincing. Overall a fair yarn - I suppose I might have enjoyed it more if I hadn't read the book.

  • Loved the book...

Thought I would enjoy as I love the Sean Dillon character....nope Rob Lowe is not right, story is changed, kept thinking 'Oh I remember this' and then it flops. The Jack Higgins films with Kyle McLachlan are better despite the fact he doesn't look like Dillon! Very disappointed - it could have been so good

Jack Higgins, i feel sorry that your Sean dillon character has been lowered into a film of this standard. It is disjointed and does not flow. A big letdown. What was the plot about anyway?

The only reason to get this film is because of him, and the book. Then when you see it you wonder what your watching.
