Presenting a side of the sport rarely seen, directors Nanette Burstein and Brett Morgen follow three boxing hopefuls, Noel Santiago, George Walton, and Tyrene Manson, as they seek to find a way out of the grinding poverty of their New York slum-ridden lives.
