One Good Cop

I am quite a big fan of 'Michael Keaton' especially his early work ('Night Shift, Clean & Sober, Mr Mom, Beetlejuice') and this film is another deserved performance.

Keaton plays 'Artie Lewis' a respected cop who loves his wife 'Rita' (Rene Russo-Ransom) and also his long time partner 'Stevie Diroma' (Anthony LaPaglia-The Client), who also happens to be a single parent of three adorable little girls.

When Stevie is killed by Drug Dealers, Artie & Rita decide that they want to legally adopt the three girls and become a real family. Only the problem of insufficient housing size and a $25,000 down payment stands in their way of making that a reality.

So in a desperate attempt, Artie decides to rob the much needed cash from 'Beniamino' (Tony Plana-Ugly Betty), the powerful drug lord responsible for Stevie's murder.

More problems arise however, when Beniamino's girlfriend 'Grace' (Rachel Ticotin-Total Recall) realises Artie is the guy behind the hold up and and even worse he's a cop. This makes things even more messy, as Grace is actually a secret undercover agent working in narcotics.

This movie is a good weekend rental and I would definitely watch this again :)
