I should have paid more attention to the title.

This film just covers clubs - namely clubs that play house music. No mention of techno / DNB etc - no raves or free parties either.

Just the posy house clubs are mentioned. Quite a low budget production which interviews DJs promoters from each club - and then repeat for each one. Some archive footage brings it to life nicely, and some funny stories.

Songs were mentioned but hearing them would have been better. Licsensing costs probably prevented that.

It really just covers the commercial clubs with a snippet from each one with a pathetic soundtrack attached. It could have been so much better and more underground. Danny Rampling didn't even talk about Shoom!! Rather disappointed I have to say.

Well I spent quite a bit of time going clubbing from 1998 onwards so was interested to see what this had to offer.

It's... ok...and I'll be honest I only got 45mins in. It's quite slow, mainly seeming to cover pre-1994 stuff. There is an extremely ill advised 'theme tune' which sounds like it was made in 1994 which is used throughout. I'm sure if I'd stuck with it there would have been more relevant bits for my own personal history but for reasons below, I gave up.

The main problem for me is that during the week that I had this Channel 4 put on a documentary called 'how clubbing changed the world' which is essentially what this film wanted to be, but better put together, better music, better contributors and more interesting.

So instead of renting this just stick 4od on and try and locate that.

    Very average.

Could spend the time better but if you want to see the faces, this is right for you.

Just a load of interviews with no music, even watching it under the influence had me bored to tears. Fat old has beens looking at spare land saying 'I once had a club there'

Have to agree with the other poor reviews here, I'm afraid. This was a very dull 2 hours worth of interviews and footage badly put together. The soundtrack was particularly disappointing...perhaps that was due to licensing issues? My advice would be to not waste your time renting this!
