[Highly rated reviewer]As a fan of Orient movies for over a decade now,I can say that this film although not anywhere near the classic that many are calling it,is quite entertaining and completely original. Daniel Wu plays the most detestable character ever to appear on the screen, while Eric Tsang plays the noble and wise Triad mob boss, which makes the ending one of the most satisfying twists in Hong Kong movie history.I don't understand why some reviewers found it confusing,It's pretty simple and the subtitiles are crsip and clear to read an unlike a lot of the HK movies they stay on the screen long enough for you to read.I would suggest you see this movie as although slow and not as entertaining as many of the Cop/Triad movies out at the moment,It is still a unique insight into the mind of an individual and his inability to cope with fortune.

Not at all badBy a customer from Barnet , 10 Feb 2007I thought it was pretty good (not Infernal Affairs good), but entertaining. And what are these folk reviewing here complaining about - 'no subtitles'? Yes there are, in the main setup menu, exactly where you'd expect to find them.
Good Solid DramaBy drunkenmaster (479 reviews) from Merthyr Tydfil, , 27 Oct 2006Dramatic and well acted, this multi layered story has plenty of style and some memorable characters. Relentlessly downbeat, this is still highly recommended. Daniel Wu takes a beating that is genuinely disturbing to watch. (Ouch!)
Didnt make it to the endBy a customer from UK , 25 Jul 2006Im afraid i cant really reccommend this one, it was dull, overlong and I fell asleep twice. Sorry i cant be more positive

Where's the dub ?By a customer from Leicestershire. , 20 Jun 2006The subtitles on this fly by at a hundred miles an hour. You spend all your time trying to keep up with the dialogue while missing the action above them. Needed an English dub. 1 star as I gave up after 20 minutes...
