    A little flat

I've never been a big fan of kung-fu movies, but I had respect for Jet Li so I thought I would give this a try, plus my housemate raved about it.

The film has an interesting premise that 'sort of' makes sense. The fight scenes are impressive and the whole thing carries itself with this sort of overdone 'coolness'.

But I just couldn't enjoy it because of it's many shortcomings, namely Jason Statham's hideous American accent, which had me cringing every time he spoke, the cheesy driving nu-metal soundtrack, and the odd plastic weaponry.

I'm glad I got it out of the way, and it does look nice in hi-def, but overall the movie is a disappointment.
