LOVEFiLM Review
-
By Tom Charity from LOVEFiLM
The usual run-of-the-mill romantic comedy from Katherine Heigl that is subject to its own mediocrity.

Ok but not impressive for Stephanie Plum fans
By a customer , 12 Jun 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
Being a huge fan of the books I guess my expectations were going to be high so I didnt expect it to be as good but was still very dissapointed. When reading the books this movie is based on I literally laughed out loud alot which is unusal for me as I am not a big reader, so expected this to be alot funnier. I am guessing the choice of using Katherine Hiegl didnt help, she just brings along her usual self to the film with a very bad accent!- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 26 Apr 2013Sorry but this film didn't do much for us! It was quite exciting to begin with, but then became boring! My family shied off in the middle, but I stuck it through to the end, but wish I hadn't!- Was this review helpful to you?

Not too bad!
By a customer , 13 Mar 2013Reading Plum books is a bit like eating marshmallows - deliciously fun at first but if you consume too much in one go you start wish you'd gone for proper food so the idea of a film rang warning bells. Fortunately it was better than I feared. Not great but not a bad way to pass an evening. I disagree with other reviewers about Heigl - I thought she was perfect Plum material. Some of the other characters took some getting used to but that's inevitable when seeing on screen something that previously existed in your head, however, for any readers yet to watch this, a warning - Morelli is wrong and Ranger is Wrong. So wrong it really does detract from the film in Ranger's case especially. Overall as others have said, somehow none of it is as spirited and colourful as the books and the inserted bits of narration don't compensate for the loss of Stephanie's take on events - but still, it made for a pleasantly indulgent 90 minutes!- Was this review helpful to you?
