[Highly rated reviewer]The Trotters lose their riches in a bad investment in the Central American Markets, and are declared bankrupt. They return to Peckham, and their Mandela House flat. Cassandra and Rodney are finding their love life is a little flat, so they spice it up by role playing their fantasies. Cassie becomes Rodney's police woman, and Rodney doesn't quite look right as Gladiator. Del appears on the game show 'Goldrush' in a last ditch attempt to win their fortune back. Despite a phone call saying Del won a badly written final question, Del tells Mickey Pearce to stick his so-called 'fifty grand'.

I hate this "special"!!!By snash123 (69 reviews) , 25 May 2013I know im going against the abundance of gleaming reviews praising the backside off this particular Christmas special of the best british comedy of all time, but they should have just left it well and truly alone after the boys made their millions! The whole series was about Del and Rodney's claim for wealth and prosperity, well Del's mainly and his famous phrase 'This time next year we will be millionaires' And when they finally made it in Time On Our Hands I shed a tear or ten after their dream finally came true and they could live the life they worked so hard for (albeit not totally legally) and truly deserved. Remember when Del said to Rodney 'I will buy the drinks, you bought the Rolls!' FANTASTIC!!! But no, in time honoured British tradition just when all seems to end well, someone or something has to come along and ruin it... and thus what happens in this instalment. Why could it not be a special of their lives as millionaires and the ups and downs of being rich?! That would have been a nice storyline. I very much hated everything after Time On Our Hands and will always say they should have just left it well and truly ALONE!!!
Classic tvBy porthos (48 reviews) from Huddersfield , 01 May 2009What can I say.If there is one comedy that I can watch over and over,it is Only Fools And Horses.I never get tired of watching this.In this episode,Del goes on a programme called Goldrush, hosted by Jonathan Ross-who is actually very good as the gameshow host.As you can imagine, nothing goes to plan.It is very funny and as always brilliantly written.I think that John Sullivan deserves recognition for creating such a great comedy.Watch it and enjoy.
