[Highly rated reviewer]After watching the Tournament, which is exactly the same concept as this...but much better! Higher budget and better fighting scenes. Saw this film advertised and thought id give this a look also. Obviously wish i never had. Poorly directed, poorly acted, script is an abomination of sorts. And then there's the awful special effects, very amateurish. The fighting is pathetic and to be honest came close to switching it off. God knows why i didn't

Pretty straightforward movieBy TheWatchman (749 reviews) from Suburbia , 11 Sep 2013Sometimes you may want a film to twist and turn, keeping you guessing at all times. Other times, you may just want a bit of straightforward carnage. This is the latter. Its about a top secret base, located under Washington, where two teams of secret agents try to kill each other off. Were introduced to each one briefly, before their boss is killed and the two teams go to war. What follows is one fight scene after the next, until the killer is finally revealed. Unfortunately, thats all it is. It is quite a short film and having many characters means that most of them are pretty one-dimensional stereotypes who you wont really care if they live or die. Plus some of the good characters are killed off too early, leaving the annoying ones still standing. On the plus side, the base is under constant surveillance and the two men charged with overseeing the mayhem are quite funny as they watch the bloodshed unfold without being able to affect the outcome. The budget is pretty small dont expect any Matrix-like fight scenes, but at least the duelling is well done, with the agents utilising one piece of office equipment after the next to despatch their adversary. Operation: Endgame isnt anything special, but if you like seeing people keep fighting each other in a last man standing kind of way then you wont waste too much time watching the eighty minutes that it is.

A real little gem!By a customer , 16 Jun 2013This great film seems to have slipped under the radar, somehow also picking up negative reviews that relate to another film. This is the best kind of comedy-thriller - the comedy is laugh out loud funny, with the cast featuring some of the best comedy actors currently working in America, and the thrills are non-stop. The plot is simple: After their boss is mysteriously murdered a group of psychotic CIA contract killers are trapped in their underground labyrinth along with a ticking bomb. Not knowing who the traitor is they start killing each other on sight as they fight to escape. Having also been disarmed as a (probably very wise) security precaution they are forced to fashion what weapons they can from office equipment and stationery, resulting in some very gory deaths. Great stuff!
Average OperationBy Jordan (301 reviews) from London , 14 Oct 2012Right, first things first....whatever you do, don't take this movie seriously. If you do, then I don't think you will enjoy it.
Everything is just, 'silly'. Comedy is slightly over the top (and because of this I never really laughed), and the acting exaggerated at times.
The action kept me watching until the end. I'm not disappointed that I watched it, but it is a movie that I will not watch again.
Not a blockbuster hit, though if there is nothing else on the list to watch, then give this a go.
Frustrated, Effluent, Garbage.By CrackerJacker (2 reviews) from Cleadon , 20 Sep 2011I'm a big fan of most of the comedians in the cast, and several of the non-comedian actors, but this was a massive waste of time to watch. Understanding what I understand about the way moviemaking often doesn't work, because the people who have the money will often ignore a good project, or even a good idea for a project, I can also understand that this is why projects like 'Operation Endgame' exist.
In other words, people who want to work, don't get cast for any number of reasons(Mostly that there's a concern they aren't 'bankable' for the audience needed), and they get frustrated. This is the reaction to that - people who should be in much better things, who have been in much better things, and will hopefully be in better things in the future, make something like this with their friends for a relatively small budget.
Sometimes it works. And sometimes you get 'Operation Endgame'.
If, like me, you're drawn in by the promise of the cast, then go find something else they made. If you like Rob Corddry, then find some Childrens Hospital. Zach Galifianakis, any other movie, or 'Bored to Death'. Ving Rhames....man, ANYTHING else. If you don't know the people in here, and you're not simply happy with a trite action movie full of blood-spewing death scenes, then I just don't know what to tell you. But there are many more fish in the sea, or better ways to spend two hours.
My brain feels numbBy Chargerclyde (6 reviews) from Cookstown , 26 Aug 2011I watch movies even if their bad because if i've paid for it, i might as well. This one I made an exception.
Overacted and annoying main characters. Bad language used just for the sake of it.
I switched off after 10 minutes, then stopped the film 5 minutes later because I was writing this.
