Opeth have become one of my favourite bands after over 20 years of metal!!!

That tells you something about how good they are.

If you like a certain variation in your music, with acoustic and full out heaviness ( not really thrash ) give them a try.

A warning, they are NOT immediate. On first listen, the temptation would be to not give them another try. But please persist, you WILL become a fan.

All of their albums are superb, so you may even find a wealth of new material to get your head around.

The concert is in two parts, the first is their acoustic showcase of the radical ( for them) 'Damnation' album.

The second part is much heavier and largely focuses on their 'Deliverance' album with some other excellent songs thrown in.

There is also an excellent documentary on the making of both of these recent albums.

If you are already a fan, you'll love it!!

One gripe is that the lead singer is hardly the most charismatic of frontmen. But he is Swedish, so that is understandable I suppose.
