Bloody hilarious
By a customer from Norwich, England , 12 Feb 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
I started to watch this one with no preconception of what it was, and the opening scenes caught my attention. As the movie progressed I felt that I knew all of the characters in the people around me. The actors were perfectly cast, Colin hanks to play the lead, Jack Black as his waster of a brother.
This one has everything, comedy, action and above all a real story!!! Rare amongst modern movies.
If you are not sure what to watch tonight, watch this, you will not be disappointed.- Was this review helpful to you?

(43)Reasonably fresh Orange
By a customer from reading , 30 Apr 2010Being an avid fan of oranges I was pleasantly surprised to find a film called 'Orange county' to watch online. Imagine my excitement after seeing 3 oranges on the cover, two on Brumber's eyes and one in Jack Black's mouth, either that or that's some serious gingivitus.
This film is easy going with a few standard moments of comedy reminiscent of Meet the Fockers, in which situations turn from bad to worse. However there is an underlying attempt to make this a much deeper film, and although the characters take a little while to develop from their stereotypes things end up coming together for some enjoyable feel good moments.
An entertaining film with easy going surf / california music. One to watch if you need to pass the time, leaving you feeling reasonably satisfied.
Plus if you happen to have a thing for Jack Black you get to see him in his Pants.
No oranges though.- Was this review helpful to you?

Totally Brillient
By CymruWills (2 reviews) from Swansea , 20 Mar 2010I've been itching to watch this film for some time, just due to having jack black init, personally I think the guy is a genious!
having never found it in shops i've never picked it up then after signing up for love film i find out i can watch it over the net!
Only problem with this is my internet connection is Hmmm.... Not the best so it was forever 'Buffering' But even with it doing this, I found the whole film a pleasure to watch. A big thing for me has always been the music in films and all the tracks that played throughout are totally Feel Good tracks.
There's a great bunch of actors in on this film and it's completely under rated, if you haven't seen this it's one to watch, it will have you Laughing through the whole thing and it still sends a strong message at the end.
I've given it 5Stars and without jack black it would still manage a 4!- Was this review helpful to you?

Fantastic
By aj77home (9 reviews) from Coulsdon , 06 Feb 2010A film that I have seen advertised so many times and thought the summary sounded boring. How wrong I was, absolutley loved this piece of messed up genius. The journey of a young man's realisation that despite all the mishaps of his confused family life. life really can be alright.
Certificate 12 it can be understood by adults and children on different levels.
Well worth watching- Was this review helpful to you?

Super Funny, but Weird
By a customer from London , 21 Dec 2009Ok, so this film is a bit weird, but then again, Orange County is a weird place. Gotta love Jack Black! Super funny, but not your average 'the studio thinks your stupid funny'. You gotta think outside the box for this one! Enjoy and don't take too seriously.- Was this review helpful to you?
