Great film for a Sunday afternoon (not for the children though)

I watched this film as a child and it has stayed with me (in a good way) for over twenty years. I am now looking forward to seeing it again.
I remember it being very powerful and emotional. The other reviewers that compared the film to Jaws are missing the point and have not watched attentively. This film is not about revenge for a murdered family of whales. I dont remember Jaws taking revenge, it was a simple adrenaline chase film (although very well done).
Please give this film your time to watch - A Sunday afternoon film - you will not be disappointed (if you have a heart).
