This box set should never have been offered for sale or rent. I've seen two of the DVDs, and assume the other three are the same. Both 'David and Goliath' and 'King Lear' have a permanent onscreen logo saying 'Orson Welles Collection' throughout the duration of the films, and this makes them completely unwatchable. This set should be withdrawn and all copies destroyed, in the hope that this will leave room for another more intelligent company to make an alternative set WITHOUT the offensive onscreen logo. bad transfer
By a customer from London , 15 Oct 2009A reasonable film totally spoilt by a terrible dvd transfer. it looks like it's been recorded from a cable tv channel - to the extent that at random intervals a tv station ident appears in the corner of the screen. It's also a panned and scanned version rather than full screen.- Was this review helpful to you?
