Hilarious!
By Daysi (23 reviews) from Bristol , 11 Jul 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
i have never laughed so much at a comedy anime as i have laughed at this one.
it addresses all of the high school stereotypes among other Japanese terms and the humour pokes fun at female fandoms such as shoujo manga and twincest.
the characters are loveable, fun and energetic and the animation is quick and clean. there isn't a single character i have disliked so far.
if you love anime comedy with hinted romance and over-the-top satire, this is worth watching.

(2)An Acquired taste that's well worth acquiring
By Spectatorsoflife (6 reviews) from Hove , 15 Jan 2010For the first couple of episodes I was resigned to sending this back asap. The manic style and OTT humour grated (unbearably at times). Suddenly everything seemed to click into place. A degree of familiarity with the characters lent the self-referential humour a wonderful edge. In simple terms the jokes had me on the floor at times. It's sly digs at all aspects of manga and anime convention and the world of otaku-dom are a true joy. Can't wait to get stuck into the rest of the series. Don't expect drama, depth, angst or anything remotely resembling them. Just sit back and enjoy a breakneck rollercoaster ride. Thank you, Japan - only you could create something so sublimely silly and at the same time archly sophisticated.- Was this review helpful to you?
