Superb!
By a customer from dover, england , 02 Dec 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Christine Laht as Dr Gisella Perl gave a very moving performance, showing all the conflict and emotion that must have been felt by Dr Perl. You could feel the anxiety as situations changed, the dilemma of 'is this right or wrong', doing what you thought was best when there was little that could be done. All stars give excellent performances in this powerful potrayal of the book, which I certainly intend to read. Brilliant, well worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

Over-acted melodrama
By a customer from Brackley , 18 Jan 2009Like a stage play. Over-acted melodrama. Not awful though, just a bit corny.- Was this review helpful to you?

Lahti and Cake
By a customer from Alexandria , 26 Oct 2008Very well done film including the wonderful Christine Lahti and dastardly Jonathan Cake.
Miss Lahti is exceptional in the role of Jewish doctor in Auschwitz Camp in the 40's. Jonathan Cake is the most devious Nazi, damaging and killing the women in the Camp when he feels it is necessary to show his power. Well worth a viewing!- Was this review helpful to you?
