High noon in space
By zzzzzz (112 reviews) from at home , 07 Feb 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Dark and dirty cop thriller. Sean Connery excellent as marshall ONiel.
Inventive SFX that still holds up against the CGI of today.- Was this review helpful to you?

(31)Oh dear... avoid...
By Geeeflat (23 reviews) , 14 Oct 2012My wife and I have guessed the plot of the is bad script about 5 to 10 minutes into this movie and then suffered watching it unfold like music paper for the next 2 hours, with bad acting (except connery of course). One star for good art and good SFX for 1981.
Do avoid, there s nothing to gain from watching this. Even not for documentary interest.- Was this review helpful to you?

Space suits do not sci-fi make
By a customer , 19 Aug 2012Apart from the setting, there is not much sci-fi in this. More of a cop versus drug dealers. Much of it takes place in semi darkness and the sound effects are grating.- Was this review helpful to you?

This could have been a good film
By a customer , 15 Jun 2012but it wasn't really. Sean Connery and the spacey sets distract you a bit, and the story begins as though it has somewhere interesting to go. But then you realise the dialogue is appalling and it's just a lot of running about. The plot is super thin and the ending laughably bad. You're not missing out if you don't see it. Two stars is generous.- Was this review helpful to you?

Going cuckoo in space
By StevieGuk (4 reviews) , 11 Jun 2012Classic Connery. When you need an old sci-fi to satisfy your evening movie appetite, watch this.
I enjoyed the script and the typical going cuckoo in space. It has love and longing also, which is required in any movie -for me at least.
Without spoiling it; Connery uncovers something going on which he battles to unearth. What, I won't say!- Was this review helpful to you?

gritty and well paced
By lupinehorror (6 reviews) from Glasgow , 10 Jun 2012probably saw this first in the mid 80s and remember enjoying it very much.
seen it a few times since and still think it's a very watchable movie. sean is...well, sean...but that's no bad thing. i like the visual style...dark and claustrophobic and the sets and effects haven't dated too badly.
well worth 104 minutes of your time.- Was this review helpful to you?
