Dean Proffitt (Kurt Russell) is the gruff, blue-collar woodworker who recently had a nasty run-in with Joanna. This is a charming throwback to the screwball comedies of the 1930s and one of the better vehicles designed for Goldie Hawn. She plays a pampered heiress to a fortune, who loses her memory after falling off her luxury yacht. Carpenter Kurt Russell, who had clashed with her earlier, sees the chance for revenge, and convinces her that she is his wife. The chemistry between the two stars (a couple in real life) is complemented by the performances of an experienced supporting cast that includes Katherine Helmond, Roddy McDowall and Edward Herrmann. It's slickly directed by Garry Marshall, who juggles the sharp repartee and knockabout slapstick with ease.

I think they are, you know. Excellent 80's rom-com (and I don't usually like those) with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn being mean to each other then falling in luurve...
Goldie is just so good in this - she really gets let loose and is as manic as you'll ever see her - you can tell everyone enjoyed being in this movie.
It's got all the right ingredients, and doesn't fail to come up with the sloppy required ending, but done in a stylish way, so all can be forgiven.
Good fun + no hassle = get the popcorn in!
