Las Vegas wise-guy Nick D'Angelo (Rob Lowe - The West Wing) plans to move to England and pursue the woman of his dreams, Lady Victoria - the 'IT' girl royal who is the darling of the British press and public alike. When the dice role his way and he comes into some money, he pays a hacker to change his school records so he can con his way into Oxford University, where Lady Victoria just happens to be studying. But when Nick arrives in Oxford, he finds that not only does he have to change to meet the standards of this old English institution, but that the only way to catch Victoria's eye is by joining the college rowing team - a plan that brings him into conflict with his own ideals and her well connected fiancé!

I just finished watching this, I'd hoped it'd be a cheesy 80's teen movie, I wasn't expecting much, but it was awful. The script was incoherent, the scenes were stuck together with no real connection, there was no character development, and not one of them was sympathetic. As for the end credits sequence, if you ever make it that far, I think Rob Lowe must be embarrassed.
Twas nice to see Oxford again though.
great movie to watch if you have visited oxford....i'm an american living in uk not too far from oxford.....so much more entertaining then when i saw it years ago after visiting oxford and as an american living in the uk.
