This thriller doesn't score many points for originality, but it's well staged and has a decent twist. Adrien Brody stars as a psychopath who is obsessed with the feats of Harry Houdini. When he is caught, he plays a high-stakes game of cat and mouse with the police over the whereabouts of a woman he has buried alive in the middle of Manhattan. Maura Tierney gives a believable performance as the psychologically tortured cop on the case and Brody is everything you'd expect as the demented killer.

    Slow!!

The superb Adrien Brody plays a manipulative sociopath who kidnaps a socialite in order to blackmail her husband but is let down by a poor script. Maura Tierney is the cop with a dark secret put on the case in which she has twenty four hours to find the buried socialite before she runs out of oxygen. The two leads are meant to be compelled to each other’s darker sides but the on screen chemistry is poor and the dialogue trite. In addition the pace is quite slow and by the end you don’t really care what happens to any of the characters.

    Oxygen is brilliant!

Recommend to Adrien Brody fans! Whoo. This was the first movie with Adrien in I ever saw, and his sexy bad boy role captivated me. I love the way he clicks his tongue against his teeth, and sucks on his teeth because of the braces in this. He's so dynamic and amazing. It's good movie! :)
