    Equnix Flower review

Ozu in colour, the same old storylines of older generation dismayed at the post-war younger generation but with a little more hope for the future. He uses a muted colour palette with occasional splashes of red to tell the story and his static shots between the scenes could be paintings by Edward Hopper.More comedy than usual for an Ozu when normally there is more a gentle humour, here there are scenes that are almost slapstick. Enjoyable.
