Feeling responsible for the death of her sister's child, a woman who knows pregnancy stands to endanger her own life, decides to get pregnant in order to give the sister a replacement baby. As if this isn't enough to contend with, the tormented heroine, played by Lizabeth Scott, is in love with her sister's husband. Oh dear. Efficient enough tearjerker, but so steeped in bleak and relentless suffering that even the presence of Eve Arden is unable to lift it from the depths.

    Don't expect too much but.....

.... this was quite good as far as rude boy gangsta films go. 'Menace to society' is better though.........

    True views of the underworld.

Great flick. Shows how evil the coke game was back in the day. If you like true crime movies like Goodfellas, try this one.

    Same old rubbish

This movie is another nail in the coffin for the dying afro-american urban movie genre. Tiresome slang with swearing every 5 seconds. Better to watch the grass grow instead.

I liked this movie I thougt it had a good storyline altough quite gritty at times. It was quite sad at times because within the story it told how young Ace struggled working in the laundrette and why he came to sell drugs in the first place It told the story of how this young man came to rule the streets selling drugs in the 80's in his neibourhood. It was quite grusome but interesting, based on a true story. The film showed how the lead charactor Ace showed great loyalty to his friend. His life suddenly turned around when he had a near death experience. He stopped selling drugs and put his money and life to good use. The setting, music and wordrobe was on the money in this flick. Definetly one for the collection.

    Brilliant

This film has very strong theme that how your local community effects you. Neglected areas will always produce these characters.
