Went to watch this film over the weekend after booking tickets online. Then finding out that this film was made by the same director that brought us the terrible Resident Evil films. So i guess we were kinda expecting an abomination of a film. Surprisingly the film looks and feels very creditable (Unlike Resident Evil) with plenty of tension, curiosity and the odd jumping outta yeah seat moment. The creatures i thought looked fairly good, To begin with you only see glimpse of them, as they move very quickly when moving in for the kill. The camera movement also helps with the fast pace of the creatures. Its hard to say where I've seen similar creatures before, but they look very tribal with their face paint and markings. There's also a couple of twists at the end of the film, which was kinda unexpected. FILM STORY
Two astronauts awake from deep space hibernation with no memory of who/where they are. After finding themselves in a dilemma with no power throughout the gigantic spaceship, and to make matters worse they cannot find anybody else remaining on the ship. They set out to replenish the power to the generator in a hope to find the lost members of the crew. They soon realise that something else is with them on the ship, and they ain't particularly friendly. But after awhile both astronauts start doubting their mental state of mind. Maybe these astronauts are simply experiencing hallucinations, Another well documented case of Pandorum, a condition ( Sickness) of amorality and delusions of power, that arise from prolonged deep space hibernation. One things for certain, only time will tell...but under the circumstances, times one thing that's not on there side. Help isn't coming.
There are some excellent story lines to this film, the performances are good, the action ok, the special effects are good. The only problem i had was that the film just skimmed along the top of a possibly excellent story. The ending is excellent though. Maybe not worth a cinema trip but worth renting.
Actor Dennis Quaid was overjoyed to film scenes for upcoming movie Pandorum in Germany, because it brought back memories of his involvement in the fall of the Berlin Wall. The 55 year old headed to the German capital to work on the sci-fi film - and was immediately reminded of his time spent in the city in 1989. Quaid was so affected by footage of the run-up to the Berlin Wall being brought down, he made a special trip to be a part of it - and admits it was one of the most memorable moments of Read more
