Dark, Disturbing Anime
By Dragilex (138 reviews) from Manchester , 03 Mar 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
2nd disc of this brilliant series. Lil' slugger has been captured but the main story is not as it seems. The tale takes a very surreal turn as we enter the mind of supposed lil' slugger.
Darkness is still entering the heart of people on the edge and the 2 police investigators are having a hard time understanding what is going on. These 3 episodes move from a fantastical RPG story to a very disturbing cliff hanger.
Paranoia Agent is definitely anime that could be turned into live action. It delves in the dark recesses of the human condition and then...- Was this review helpful to you?

(5)Dragged out anime stories really annoy me
By itstinks (681 reviews) from North of Reading , 30 Jun 2008Disc 2 changes some aspects of what you thought you were getting from disc 1, I'm not a fan of these plotlines which keep chopping and changing because its fairly certain they will just lose the thread of it in the end. Still might try disc 3 though.- Was this review helpful to you?

The plot thickens...
By Jerrard Doran from Dundee, Scotland , 31 Aug 2007Aye, the plot thickens, but it doesn't exactly get any easier to understand. Still, it's very good. Very stylised, very enjoyable. Just don't expect to 'get' it yet!- Was this review helpful to you?

Excellent stuff
By a customer from Bristol, England , 03 Nov 2006I'm not a fan of flashy shonen action Anime, but Paranoia Agent grabbed my attention and held it to the end. There's some filler episodes on the third DVD, and the ending runs a little out of hand: 'The whole world's gonna end because of a damn puppy!' but unlike some anime, it doesn't quite lose that strange creeping atmosphere of the first episodes, and the story is wrapped up pretty well.- Was this review helpful to you?

animation mainly for children and teenagers
By a customer from Leicester, England , 11 Oct 2005One of those well made Japanese animation films. Children and teenagers would enjoy it more then adults as well as it can be for people who appreciate the techniques in making animations. The contents of the film reflects the imagination of Japaness people and it gives some insight of Japanese culture, especially for children.- Was this review helpful to you?
