LOVEFiLM Review
-
By Tegan Kniveton from LOVEFiLM
A prequel to 2009's Paranormal Activity, this supernatural horror is a worthy follow up.

A Middling Movie
By Tish2 (143 reviews) from London , 23 Jan 2013[Highly rated reviewer]
This prequel is reasonably entertaining, but not mind blowing or frightening in any way at all, although it is fair to say that the plot details are well scripted - so that the events in Paranormal Activity 1 do start to make more sense. As in the first movie - none of the characters are truly loathsome, so I was slightly concerned about their fate. I really enjoyed the fact that there was little or no background music and that the shaky cam technique was dropped for security camera footage instead. I like its minimalism and think that it is okay, but at the moment, as far as Im concerned I can take it or leave it as to whether or not I ever see Paranormal Activity 3 and 4.- Was this review helpful to you?

Spent the whole film waiting for something to happen
By PaigeB (1 review) , 15 Jan 2013Felt like I was just watching someones CCTV of their pool whilst they were away. Not much happens round there, not much happens throughout the whole thing actually. If you liked to be spooked - look else where.- Was this review helpful to you?
