Crash and Burn
By Maynard (134 reviews) from Gillingham, , 29 Jul 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
After a plane crash, grief counsellor Ann Hathaway (Claire) tries to help the five survivors come to terms with their ordeal. Gradually each survivor disappears except Patrick Wilson (Eric) with whom she builds up a close relationship, but something is wrong, but what is it?
To say more will spoil the film, which for the most part plods along with a few red herrings, but overall the cast seem to under perform, possibly due to the weak script.
A disappointing film which fails to really deliver.- Was this review helpful to you?

(91)don't do it!
By bleublanc (9 reviews) , 30 Jan 2013[Highly rated reviewer]
What a tedious bunch of twaddle this was, shame it could have been really gripping. Where do I start...the whole set up was unconvincing, this is not what would happen to survivors after a major plane crash so that's where I switched off and I carried on watching in the hope of some redeeming features but in the end it was time wasted.- Was this review helpful to you?

Passengers on the sofa
By Trebor46 (14 reviews) , 27 Dec 2012Anne Hathaway gives a creditable performance and is well worth a look. As said previously this film is similar to a number of other films but there are much worse ways to spend an hour and half. A few more shocks would have given the film a bit extra punch and increased its commercial appeal.- Was this review helpful to you?

deflated cabin pressure
By kevil9 (120 reviews) from Glasgow , 18 Oct 2012Only those who rarely watch films won't have the early sense of deja-vu the grips the viewer. There is a nice conceit here at the beginning with the idea of a counsellor for plane-crash survivors, and it could go in the direction of Fearless by Peter Weir
It doesn't. It follows another very well know firm whose success was based on a twist that some people just couldn't see coming. i won't name that for fear of spoiler alert, but Passengers does plummet quite rapidly into crash-landing mode- Was this review helpful to you?
