This film is by no small margin, the worst film in human history, and is certainly not to be seen by anybody -- unless of course they happen to be an American. Zealot-like patriotism and an emotional crippled score - bad lines dropped from great heights -- propaganda raining down over the audience --- sunkun jaws in slack-eyed bewilderment. Blasphemies are whispered in the cinema - anger, resentment, anti-Americanism sets in. Bodies head for the door, dark shadows against the screen. That small difference between being patriotic and being patronising, is what the producer/director team of Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay (The Rock, Armageddon) always misjudge. But this time it's serious.

This is the best war film out. I can watch it over and over again. What a fantastic film. I might rent it again soon.

I love this film. Emotional, heart stoppingly romantic and unashamedly patriotic. Rafe and Danny have a lifelong friendship that binds them together through the turbulence of the events of Pearl Harbour and their love for the same woman defines them.

    Amazing score as well.

  • The scenes of the actual raid are terrific, but the rest....

The Good: The raid itself is fantastic. One shot shown from a bomb's POV was one of the best shots I've ever seen. Alas, the good parts only take up about a quarter of the movie.

The BAAAAAD: The love 'triangle' that most of the film revolves around is absurd. I don't know exactly where you draw the line about going out with your best friend's girlfriend, but 'We both thought you were dead.' is a pretty darn good excuse to cross it.

    Lame.

One of the funniest films I have ever seen, shame as it's billed as a drama. The one star is for the scenes of the attack on Pearl Harbor, but the rest of the film??? Dear Lord deliver us.
