Pee Wee isnt for every one,but if you like Tim Burton movies you need to check this gem out.The tour of the Alamo is one of the highlights as is the music score by Danny(Batman) Elfman,does Tim ever use any one else?- Was this review helpful to you?

I know you are but what am I?

I find it hard to describe why I find this type of humour funny but the odity of this strange manchild just tickles my funny bone.
The best thing about watching this film now as an adult is picking up on all manner of adult jokes that children won't even notice
The search for a bike has never been more entertaining and yes that does include the Bicycle Thieves.

A Peculiar But Often Funny Road Trip
By kingoftheducks (16 reviews) from London , 15 May 2012A delightfully delirious, oddly perverse, wacky comedy that takes the eccentric character of Pee-Wee Herman and giddily plants him in all manner of slightly skewed situations as he goes in search of his beloved bicycle.
It's a strange collision of styles, Burton occasionally throws in some stop-motion asides, and the script wanders joyfully from material that would sail over children's heads to the most silly of schoolyard banter ('I don't make monkeys, I just train them!'), but that's the film's charm, and it's one you either engage with or not.
Herman is a very weird and wonderful creation and his world view is one that, within the context of the film, ultimately wins over most people he encounters. Though that may not be true for all audience members!- Was this review helpful to you?
