By RJNeb2 (922 reviews) from London , 14 Mar 2013Theres nothing inherently wrong with this Harry Potter fill-in where high school kid Lerman discovers hes a demi-god and son of Poseidon. Its just that its all so ordinary and rather uninspired, which is not what youre looking for in a fantasy epic. So while its filled to overflowing with frantic plotting, the characters barely make an impact, the all-star cast have nothing to do (though Thurman makes for an interesting Medusa) and after a while the surfeit of special effects dont seem so special.- Was this review helpful to you?

By cheesekake (1283 reviews) from uk , 10 Jan 2013sorry excuse the title but this is one of the few films where he don't die. Loved this film, the action the special effects the whole story are just brilliant. Brilliant entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.- Was this review helpful to you?

Poor poor
By a customer , 03 Dec 2012Really, really poor. To call it the poor relation of Harry Potter would be to insult poor relations. Formulaic, predictable and frankly boring. .- Was this review helpful to you?

Enjoyable family friendly fun
By Alison31 (68 reviews) from Eastleigh , 02 Dec 2012My daughter is a lover of Greek mythology and is currently reading this book for her literacy class. She informs me the film closely resembles the story, and that all characters and major storylines are all present and correct. Never having enjoyed the book myself, I cant compare, but as a film on its own, I found it a good family friendly watch. Kudos to Uma Thurmans 'Medusa'. Creepy!- Was this review helpful to you?
