A clever, funny and unusual thrillerBy Fourspa (3 reviews) from Hebden Bridge , 03 Apr 2010
[Highly rated reviewer]Although set around a timeworn premise of 'man borrows money from unpleasant character/creditor calls in debt/debtor doesn't have the money', Perrier's Bounty does something refreshing and highly entertaining with it. A briliant ensemble cast with Broadbent, Gleeson and Murphy at its core really bring a script as effervescent as Perrier itself to life. Some brilliant set pieces, a terrific line in salty whimsy and some unexpectedly verbose vocabulary from the Dublin gangsters set this apart from your run of the mill gangster flick.

worth a watchBy Marlastar (15 reviews) , 07 Jan 2012Entertaining, well acted (i love Jim broadbent's character especially), a good drama/comedy (not the best, but good). It's not really one I've thought about after watching it but is a good film to pass time.
Oi said HooseBy bugarson (46 reviews) from Chelmsford , 30 Dec 2011An ok film that could and should have been much better than it is. Think Lock Stock meets the Commitments and you are not far off. A fillum full of Oirish gangster types and charcters fit to be lifted from the pages of a Roddy McDoyle book. Witty dialogue and interesting characters and plot are offset by Broadbents characters accent. One of the worst attempts since Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. Part Oirish, part West Country Farmer and part Jim Davidson. For such a talented actor this is a travesty. Other than that. Worthy of a watch.
Dark, funny, Broadbent and Gleeson great performanceBy discodoran (6 reviews) from derry, ireland , 30 Nov 2011The film made for entertaining watching. Like a dark comedy with a bit of random Irish humor in there. Gleeson is very easy on the eye and plays his role well as for Jim Broadbent a hilarious character! Both of them overshadowed Murphys role in the film.
I felt that a little more depth would have been nice in the film. Seemed rather short but i wont take that away from the fact that it was a decent watch especially in regards to watching Broadbents character.
The grim reaper reaps redemption with a wry smileBy DiGriso (37 reviews) from Guisborough , 29 Nov 2011
[Highly rated reviewer]So Cillian Murphy is under threat of broken bones or death from his default of a loan to local gangland Kingpin, the girl he is with is suicidal. The plot keeps taking left turns and the appearance of the father played by Jim Broadbent anchors the film with more black humour - they all seem highly likely to die.
This is great fun tho at times escape velocity from it`s cliched plot is only achieved by the intensity of the acting which is uniformly excellent tho the oirish accents are somewhat variable at times. Violent and full of effin eff words and baseball battering, it is not an easy watch for the sensitive!
Like the Guinness - Dark Irish Comedy!!By mattyp91 (236 reviews) from Thatcham , 27 Nov 2011I think the trailer portrays this as an Irish 'Lock, Stock' and I maybe expected something funnier and more light-hearted. Whilst there is humour, its very black and very irish - but funny as hell and some real drama, action and pathos to. Well worth a watch, great acting throughout!!
