If you like Jane Austen's novels, then you'll enjoy this movie.
Typically Austen ... a dramatic romance with several twists and turns to say nothing of a decent storyline. Both Sally Hawkins and Rupert Penny-Jones did well acting out the main characters and I think Adrian Shergold did a half decent job in directing the film.
There were no thrills and spills or lavish scenery other than perhaps the now famous quay at Lyme Regis. This, of course says a lot for those acting out the scenes.
I can easily recommend this movie to Austen Fans.
