Leaving Genesis was a very good move for Peter Gabriel otherwise he could have ended up as bland as fellow bandmate Phil. Instead he's produced near on 30 years worth of quality music and you do get the impression now that he does veer more to the 'arty' side and is releasing stuff that is what he wants to release, and not to appeal to 'the masses'. This DVD is a fine live recording featuring some 2 and a quarter hours of Peter (and band) performing 'in the round', effortlessy breezing through a load of his compositions. He does bizarrely look like a cross between Dennis Hopper and Anthony Hopkins on this gig. Not a huge collection of hits (bar the obligatory 'Solsbury Hill' and 'Sledgehammer') but a fine gig nonetheless, very colourful and presented in anamorphic widescreen and a superb DTS soundtrack.
Without doubt the best concert on DVD that I have seen and heard. A truly professional performance from one of the all time greats. The DTS sound is unbelievable. A must see for any music fan, give it go even if you are not that keen on Peter Gabriel, you will not be disappointed.
